Evening all ..........home! Should be free this weekend to do what " I " want to do. Brought out the 2012 Chevy PU for my daughters visit. Time to get it cleaned up/waxed and put away .......too much weather on my poor baby.
Stopped in at Bass Pro ahead of any crowd and filled out the DROS paperwork on that replacement Wrangler ....just like buying a new gun including the 35 dollars fee ...california baby!
Figured since I was there, and really the primary reason I went in the first place, I checked on any 5.56 .......none. They had a load of Herters 223 that lasted about an hour......got to be quick around here these days.
Soooooooo.......I picked up some essentials. Like the four boxes of 170 gr Core-Lokt 32 Winchester Special I'll add to the other four boxes I recently bought for the 32 Spl rifle I don't have yet... Did grab a load of CCI 22 40gr 22 LR. Winchester 230gr HardBall 45 acp and Winchester 125gr 38 SPL+P JHP.

Used $200.00 bucks of my points to ease the pain ............some.

Bps is selling 500 count Aguila .22lr for $24.95 if you can find it in stock. I use 4-5 types of their .22, it’s good stuff

I use herters for training I've not noticed that it's dirtier than others. I understand that Aquila at sometime was Mexican made Federal. Most of the stuff I shoot thru the charger is Aquila.
I saw an article that said uncle Sam is gonna buy up civilian .223/5.56. Just ordered another thousand 223 from my boss. He won't ship to California.
My shoulder got cold so I'm hurting pretty bad. Gonna gobble a perc and it's bed time for me.

Hornady, CCI and Federal are my usual ammo purchases and when I buy shotgun shells they were Remington or Federal mostly

Morning all .........see how this goes today.
Yeah, I have a ton of Federal and CCI which I'm very comfortable with as well as a ton of Core-Lokt 170gr 30-30, 200gr 35 Rem and 405gr 45-70. Don't shoot a fraction as much as most of y'all shoot, but I yet to have issues with my Remington and for that matter, any of the Winchester 230gr 45 acp. I'll always buy Federal blue boxes first though. All that said, do need my equipment set back up for loading, but y'all have heard all about that. In the meantime, ain't working myself to death just to spread the wealth, so I take liberty to stock up whenever I come across what tickles my fancy. And right now, my fancy gets tickled when I add to my stashes ...........yeah, I know. But believe me, they know.

Morning y’all. Happy first weekend of 2024. Got some snow overnight but melting fast. I’ll be driving miss daisy today but maybe range tomorrow.

Send me those .32 Specials, I'll shoot them for you! 😁😁😁 Had my 1949 Marlin in .32 special out last week shooting it with my neighbor, 30 years old and never shot one before! I also let him shoot my Mosin Nagant, made in 1942, 7.62x54R!

Evening all ...............got lots done around the house today. Tomorrow is display day at the hanger and the Chevy gets spiffed up while I'm there. When done, I'll take her back to the job, put her safely away and break out that little black SL. It's a 91 octane hog, but gets me around in and out of traffic ..............and the chicks dig it.

My brother’s only child is in her mid-20’s and has them all over her. Nothing exemplifies the hubris of youth like getting tattoos in your teens & 20’s…without a single thought about having those same tattoos all over yourself in your 40’s and 50’s and 60’s, etc., etc…
