lol. I ordered a M*CARBO trigger spring kit for it. They advertise reducing trigger pull from the factory 6 lbs. to about 3.5.lbs. I figured it would be easier than cutting the existing spring. Besides, if I have to send the rifle to Savage for any reason, a cut spring would be a warranty voider. I watched their video on how to install it. I feel comfortable that I can do that without screwing it up.

Thanks Swany. Happy New Years everyone. I got a call from Uncle Bob this morning. He's sounding as chipper as he always does. Still working his way through some challenges but, he has a positive attitude about it all. Have fun out there, John. Too cold here for me to even think about doing any shooting.

Too cold to hunt with the winds for very long. Went out today just for a couple hours in the AM--but no deer. I still have some loads to test out in two rifles but that will have to wait until it warms up.

Same here--next Saturday is it for the season. The cold weather and winds have really screwed things up for the past two weeks.
