Rather than cluttering up someone else’s thread, I thought a new one would be better. Here are 3 Winchester Model 1892 rifles made by Miroku, all in .45 Colt.

Beautiful
Had a shop 30+ yrs ago, at the time the Belgian made Borowning levers were about the top. Receiving Browning levers made in Japan was less desirable. I had Belgians on hand as well. I didn't think you could get any better until I unboxed the Miroku Brownings, action was smooth as glass, Belgians smooth as silk, and the finish and fitment were perfect..... that's when i learned about Miroku!

I believe they have the rebounding hammer, plus the tang safety switch.
If I have to have a hammer safety I would prefer the Marlin safety to the new Winchester tang safety.
As far as "nothing carries like a Winchester"....if you closed your eyes and carried ... how would you know it's a Winchester?
I love the 92 Winchester action.

Very impressive but I don’t think any original 92’s were made in 45 Colt. The 92’s and the 73’s were rifles shooting pistol cartridges. I always used a pistol for pistol cartridges but I’d see an individual could probably be more accurate using a rifle instead of a pistol although you have very limited range with a pistol cartridge even in a rifle.
Those rifles are beautiful!

You are correct - Winchester didn’t chamber anything in .45 Colt. However, Colt did chamber their 1873 Peacemaker (a.k.a. Single Action Army) revolver in .44-40, originally called .44 WCF (Winchester Center Fire).

.44-40 is a really neat cartridge but I found a couple of guns in .45 Colt and sort of standardized on that. Too many different cartridges already…

Thats a beauty, shoot it.
A few years ago, Sportsman's Warehouse had these Maruko: This is 1 of 130.
Winchester Limited Edition Model 1892 Short Rifle Silver Nitride/Walnut Lever Action Rifle - 357 Magnum - 20in

They were about $1800, .357 mag only - you can shoot .38 by manually loading, but they won't feed from mag. Haven't shot this.

Beautiful- i would have pulled out the wallet for one! (and never plan to shoot it)
Be proud, Smiles, Mike

Those are some nice lookers for sure and in one of my favorite calibers.
I have one original Win.92 in 25-20, and a pair of the Puma/Rossi clones.
One is a 357 ss with the 24" octagon and the other is a 20" round barreled 45 colt, and I do have a Marlin Cowboy in 45 also.
I also have an original Marlin 1892 in 32 colt.
I've never seen a 92 with a pistol grip.

OP your 92's look super good. What is the rifling twist on those? The Rossi 357 and 44 mag both use a 1/30 twist and IIRC the 45 Colt is a 1/28 twist.
