Well, just bought my first lever action and it happened to be a Glenfield 30A. Dated it to be a 1975. After a quick trip to the back 40 to test it out I have become obsessed with this rifle. Done a little research and I’ve now convinced myself that I have to have a 30GT. I know they only made around 7700 or so. How often does the GT come up for sale and where would be a good place for me to me look? Also, it sure is a shame I can’t just head to town to the local K-Mart and pick one up anymore. Thanks for any help.

Welcome from the northern plains of central ND - where the West begins!

Happen to have one of those gems sitting in my rack - more than one whitetail and a couple of coyotes have met their demise from the end of my Glenfield 30A / GT

Very nice Glenny! (y) I bought my very nice Glenny Mod 30GT on Gun Broker almost 10 years ago for 650 bucks which was expensive for then---never seen one locally and probably never will. I am pretty sure a very good conditioned Mod 30GT will cost you a lot more these days---either online or at a LGS (unless they don't know what they have).

Ive seen 2 30 gts in my life . one was 20 years ago , guy wanted 650 . WELL about a month ago I was in Columbia sc setting up on Friday for gun show the next day . one of the vendors had a 30 gt ,I couldn't believe I finally found one again , I didn't argue price ,bought it immediately . I love this gun , not sure why , just do. I have marauders, lts, and others . this one is a keeper . I plan to put ghost ring sight on it .
