If you want a semi-custom knife that is worth more than its weight in silver and is a piece of art as much as it is a field tool, consider a Randal knife. They were the knife of choice for many years for SOF forces. They are highly valued and will always hold their value.

This is a 6" Randal No 1.

 

I won an auction the other night for a custom knife by Gerald Ray Morgan and it will come live here very soon.

I also took a shine to a knife called the Workout made by iFIELD and it should be here in a week or so.

 

Been having trouble finding any new knives that don't just basically duplicate something I've already got, but I did recently order a new CRKT "Freyr" axe. It should be here today or tomorrow.

When heard Ontario knife company was closing, I ordered a Rat l in D2. Natural micarta. Not sure why I waited, the knife meets the hype. Very nice.

I am a sucker for Damascus steel knives. When I saw this I just had to have it. The full tang makes it a bit heavier than I usually carry but it sharpened up very nice. The Celtic knot handle decoration is a nice touch.

 

Where did you score that beauty?

 

For folders I always keep an eye out for Bulldog, Hen and Ruster,Fighting Ruster.

 

Believe it or not, Smokey Mountain Knife Works. It is the second Damascus knife I got from them. The first had a gut hook on the top end of the blade. My son absconded with that one a few years ago and I have been looking for another ever since. I really like the handle better on this one.

 

Been thinking about the Victorinox Ranger 78 M Grip. Wife says I need another knife like I need another hole in the head. I told her I wasn't making the connection.

 

I've got one on a wish list. Just waiting for payday.

 

For those of you that like Damascus steel blades, Connecticut Shotgun and Galazan have a nice selection of them.

Bear & Son in Alabama also makes a handsome Damascus in their drop point hunter line.

Only one damascus in my small collection. It's a small concealed carry boot knife.

 

You must wear tall boots. Nice pattern in that blade.

 

You could make a 1980’s action movie with that lil boot knife 😁

 

Waiting on my Bark River UP Gunny in 3V that I pre ordered last November.
It will look similar to this one, I went with the black canvas micarta for low maintenance and durability.

On my "NEW TO ME" knife horizon ... been searching now for several years for a "Gibbs Knife" (that was affordable) ••• Zero Tolerance 301 ... very well taken care of by it's previous owner ... another "TOY" into the collection of things not needed but wanted ...
