What kind of ‘trapping’ do you do to need a .45-70? Velociraptor? Nice Marlin.

 

I watched a trapper jake documentary and he clubbed a trapped varmin with a stick or a steel bar

 

Had one of these but traded it for my 444P, I’ve had 2 of the Mayodan Marlins and they’re fantastic guns. Only reason I traded them is because they’re still making them, I’ll get another Trapper and SBL I have no doubt

I built my own Trapper out of my wife's cas .45 carbine. Very handy rifle.

 

Ok, realize this may not be popular with all in the Marlin community and I can respect it...however, my rifle, my build...so with that stated...here is the progress. Dropped off for cerakote today...then some final tunes with my gunsmith...

 

I see you got the gun, and she got new floors!!! There’s always a catch, lol nice rifle man!!!

 

LOL, she is getting new floors, painted downstairs and I guess you would call it a wrapped Fireplace...the tile is for the fireplace...the floor is stacked in the other side of the garage...general contractor starts tomorrow...

Spent 12K on new shower in master bath. Happy Wife is correct. I have 8 levers now 22LR,22mag,357mag,44 mag, 1915 M92 Win 25-20, M92 44-40 1901 and pre 64 32 special oh 1895 Ruger/Marlin 45-70 SBL.

 

Congrats on the new Trapper Scott, maybe my favorite out of the four new Ruger built Marlin 1895's so far.

The nicest thing I can say is thank for not doing this to a JM.

I actually saw a JM 1895S at a gun show that was all cerakoted out to look like a Barbie gun, some things should be illegal.

 

You for sure got the better end of that deal. Nice looking rifle there!
