I picked up a pound of Trail Boss for my 405gr. OT laser casts, for a 1895 GBL. While looking up load data, they only cover up to 400gr. jacketed bullets on Hodgdon data and OT doesn't show trail boss. Does anyone have any other references?

They list cast lead only in the Trapdoor loads in the Hodgdon online data.

I'm using 17.4g Trailboss under 350g Plated.

I've used 16 for 405 coated.

Don't compress trailboss.

IMR® TRAIL BOSS® REDUCED LOADS
FOR RIFLE AND PISTOL
As noted in the powder description section, Trail Boss was designed primarily for reduced loads using lead bullets in pistol
cartridges. However, Trail Boss offers superb versatility in rifle cartridges producing reduced loads using lead or jacketed bullets.
These reduced loads make firing such cartridges as the 300 Winchester Magnum or even the 458 Winchester Magnum pure fun!
Listed below we show a few examples of such loads throughout the Reloading Data Center, but the fun doesn't stop there. If you
don't see Trail Boss data for your favorite cartridge we have a formula for developing loads for all cartridges and it's simple to
follow. This formula may be used in both rifle and pistol applications:
Find where the base of the bullet to be loaded is located in the case and make a mark on the outside of the case at
this location. Then fill the case to that mark with Trail Boss, pour into the scale pan and weigh. This is your
maximum load. Pressures will be below the maximum allowed for this cartridge and perfectly safe to use!
Take 70% of this powder charge weight (multiply the maximum load from step 1 by .7), and that is your starting
load.
Start with this beginning load and work up to your maximum charge, all the while searching for the most accurate
reduced load. Once found, the fun begins!

I use 13.5g trailboss with lee 405g (420g actual) cast for a velocity of just over 1000fps in my 1895cb , good accurate load.
ADI (Australian manufacturer of trail boss rebranded as hodgdon) reloading website has load data under single action for trail boss.
Basically start at 60% case capacity and work up- around 85%_90% usually works best, you can't go wrong. It doesn't throw real accurate from most powder throwers due to its shape, best to weigh each individual load

I shoot TrailBoss and LaserCast 405GR hard lead bullets in all of my 45-70s. I use 13Gr without a wad in my loads. I shoot that load at a 14" gong placed at 500 yards with my Pedersoli rolling block, hit it on a good day. My 1895 Classic does well with them too. I started using TrailBoss because of aging shoulder syndrome, didn't want to give up on the 45-70s.

I loaded some Remington 405 gr. FNSP over 13 grains of Trail Boss searching for a "Cat Sneeze" subsonic load a couple months back. The rounds were fired through My Marlin Guide Gun with a 16 inch barrel and a Silencerco Hybrid suppressor
over a chronograph at about 12 ft.
. The loads were, indeed, "Cat Sneeze" but not as fast as I had hoped. Average velocity was 870 fps. I will up the charge to 14 grains and try again.

Pretty busy these days so it may be a while before I get it done.
