On its way for test & review. Pretty excited about this one. I do love an SBL. Rather see it in .45 Colt however .44 mag will do for now.

My SBL is in 45/70 and is an excellent guide gun and to shelf hunting gun for game out the 250 yards.
Yepper, I have one of their first ones and it is a tack driver for sure. One worth having and I'm guessing this one will be the same.

Well, it looks really nice and it ought to for an MSRP of $1529. Ouch!

The street price might prove interesting.

Jack
It is pricy no doubt. Imagine what the first ones on GB will go for!

Didin't have any loaded ammo or bullets to load for the .44. Ran over to Georgia Arms yesterday morning and found a table full of reduced price bullets from an estate sale. The first ones I loaded up are these 200-grain Hornady's over H110. Now to load some 240-grain Hornady's.

I may end up snagging one of these in 357 Magnum. 44 Magnum would be smarter though....
Hey Travis, just got back from the range and this rifle is just a blast to shoot. Love the 16.1" barrel and the action was nice and smooth. Haven't loaded any cast yet to shoot in it however it sure liked the 200-grain XTP's. Next are the 240-grain Hornady's then cast.

At the range today for the first time shooting the new 1894 SBL. Shooting Starline Brass hand loads with Hornady 200-Grain XTP's over H110. I mounted a Hawke Optics Vantage IR 1-4x20 which was a great fit and size for the rifle. What a blast to shoot and handle.

I’m torn between this and the new S&W 1854

2 of my LGS have the S&W but no one in my area has the Marlin.
I handled the new S&W over the weekend and although fairly nice, I would certainly take this new model Marlin over the S&W. Of course, if you can't find one, you can't buy it.
