Love the old Marlin waterfowl guns. Looking at the Blue Book of Gun values, there was the Model 55 goose gun (12 gauge) with a 36" full choke. <-- Not extra full.

The Super Goose was the Model 5510. 10 gauge with a 34" barrel. The BB of Gun Values does not disclose what choke on the Super Goose.

With all that... On eBay, there's a "store" that sells replica Hanging Tags (and some other nostalgia type stuff). I did a quick check to see if he had any hanging tags. No tags for the Goose or Super goose, BUT search ebay for "Marlin Super Goose". You'll be surprised at what you might see.

Thanks, I've been looking for a manual there. But I'll check the other goodies as well. USOG mentioned it was "extra-full" but even he admits he isn't overly familiar with them.

 

Sorry I can't help you but just wanted to say I've always thought the bolt action Goose and Super Goose shotguns were a really neat. Once deer hunted around a guy that carried a Goose gun and swore that it paterned buckshot beyond belief. I was never around when he killed anything so I don't know about his claims. From the Colonial Arms Choke Specifications table for 10 ga:

True Bore Dia. .779"
Full Choke Dia. .744" (.035" constriction)
Extra Full dia. .739" (.040" constriction)

 

I remember shooting a Super Goose in my younger days, that 10 gauge kicked like a mule! Had some fantastic range though…

 

I had a 5510 years ago and it was a full choke, not extra full. I've also seen 5510 and 55's with screw in chokes that were added later. Most of those also had chopped down barrels.
