Just got this Marlin Model 45 by Sears Roebuck in 35 Rem. Serial #34xxx.
Anyone know how old it is?

Ah! So that's what a Model 45 is. I must be sheltered, because I've never seen one. Welcome from your neighbor to the north, KY!

Welcome..and.congrats....that.is.a.fine.Marlin.through.and.through....Ive.had.and.have.store.branded.marlins.and.they.are.some.of.the,finest.I.own.......yours.most.likely.was.made.in.the.60's.....give.us.the.first.two.digits.of.the.serial.and.we.can.tell.for.sure.....Sorry.my.spacebar.is,busted,LOL!

Nice rifle gvogue, Don't think I've ever seen one of the Sears Mdl 45 but I know they made them, it's the same as the 336C I do believe. Thanks for the picture. I believe it's from 1966 but someone will correct me if I'm wrong. You're going to love the .35 Rem. Great caliber!

never.said.it.was.valuable......less.35rem.were.produced.as.to.30/30....so.they.are.more.rare.........there.is.a.collectors.market.out.there.for.the.store.branded.guns.....some.fellas.seek.them.because.there.were.less.produced.and.obviously.not.made.anymore........any.35rem.in.decent.condition.is.worth.$400.min...in.my.neck.of.the.woods.
