I just received my rail from Brownell. It says it for the Guide Gun, however was a perfect fit on my Classic. My question is which rings in order to get as close to the receiver as possible, the scope has a 1" tube and I would like to have at least 4" of eye relief.

It might help with suggestions if you say "exactly" which scope you are going to use.

I just mounted a Leupold Rifleman 2-7x33mm scope on my 444P and I used the Talley Low mounting system ... I could have ordered the extra low set from the company but the lows do just fine in my world ...

No need for a base with this set up.

bigjeepman,

Sorry about that, but I am mounting the Rifleman 3-9x40, and the rail is XS. Unfortunately, the vision in my right eye is terrible. Anything as small as a ghost ring would be useless to me. So I am not concerned about it. Probably couldn't use it anyways.
