went to a show yesterday found a person walking with a 1979 marlin 1894 357, started talking to him and asked if he'd be interested in a ruger 77 270 stainless/aetec scope in trade for the 357.. long story short I walked away with the marlin, cost me 100 plus the ruger.. but the previous owner of the ruger had the barrel shortened to 20". it was an impulse buy so didn't bother me to let it go.. pics attached.. 357's are HTF in my area

We read about so many gun owners here, and on other forums, that get rid of guns that are problematic for them, so you just never know how many, if any, are up front with the buyer about the problems they are having. If I were interested in buying a firearm that I discovered had a serious problem, I wouldn't buy it. Your buyer most likely saw for himself that the barrel was cut but if not, that doesn't mean the gun you sold him was problematic because of that.
