The purpose-built tactical lever action market is really starting to heat up:

That's the way I feel...pricewise at least. IMHO it looks like some sort of Steampunk inspired gun. Aside from the ugliness...why drop two Grand on a contraption like that when the same money could fetch you a nice AR and a case of ammo.?

For me, the ugliest part is the handguard. They chose the worst (appearance-wise) AR-type M-Lok handguard style - discontinuous top rail with top and (in particular) bottom pic rail at the front, along with a forward pointing tip. I've always hated the way those look. Deleting the bottom-front pic rail - if I need one, I'll use an M-Lok mount or adapter - and squaring off the front would have helped a lot with the look. However, that seems to be a POF favorite design.

Very interesting......but why? I do recognize the trend toward "tactical" lever guns...and this ONLY fits that bill exactly. I my opinion a fun , easy to shoot , cheap to shoot Rifle has its place.....so why not? I am OLD and don't fall into the targeted market for this rifle...but lots of 18 to 40 year olds may just " have to have one of these".....not for hunting but ........

Do you reckon the “f” in pof is a typo? Maybe they were trying for another nearby letter and hit the wrong key.

Good grief, no thanks. Also, I am going to guess there is a fair risk of jamming from failure to extract. The 9mm cases can be prone to that unless ejection is very positive (Small). Given the action being by hand, there is more chance of that.

I also notice a muzzle break. On a 9mm. That must make the recoil from the 9mm out of a rifle almost manageable..

If they made it in .45 ACP and brought the price down I might be interested. Maybe. Did anyone besides me notice how stiff the lever seemed to operate? Maybe because it was new and not broken in yet but does give me pause.

I see no point in this gun, there are just too many great options for pistol caliber carbines than can be owned in almost any state and I certainly will take my two 1894s in .357 over this thing any day of the week. If I want to tacticool out one of them, it's easy to do for a lot less than $1,800. The price is ridiculous and as many have mentioned, it's about as ugly of a gun as I've seen.

Looks like a few of the women on the cruise I recently went on! Skinny legs...BIG fake butt...overdone fake chest and over inflated lips/cheeks! Cost them (or their better halves) a ton of cashola and in the end, probably looks worse than what they started with! Hey, to each his (or her) own...chocolate and vanilla I guess!

That's probably not the only reason, as tactical levers are very popular right now. However, NYS requiring a license now to purchase or take ownership of a semiautomatic rifle (thankfully, current owners were grandfathered in without needing to register) certainly would make something like this more popular. It's a viable home-defense rifle that doesn't require a license to acquire.

It's kool that someone is making a new lever gun but I'll stick with my grandads levergun that is just as fun to shoot and can be used for hunting and I can get one heck of a nice levergun for that kind of money. It really serves no purpose other than a fun toy. As far as a 9mm self defense carbine or rifle is concerned, I'll stick with the Ruger PC Carbine. But when I have more money than I know what to with after buying my helicopter and Ferrari I'll probably get one.

While tactical levers are not for me this addresses the one problem most leverguns have. The tube mag. A box mag makes more sense to me.
I have reached my limit on Black rifles, so no thanks. I think the price will inhibit sales.

I've avoided responding to this threads topic as I thought it as simply a bad joke. And that's all I have to say about it.
