Does that $25.00 fee for a background check apply to EVERY firearm bought from a licensed FFL dealer in Idaho?

 

I ordered a couple of magazines for it last night. $13 apiece not too bad.

 

No they can charge whatever they want and if you buy one or 20 it's $25 at that place. The indoor shooting range charges $30 but there are guys who do the FFL thing out of their house that charge $15.

 

Congrats, and hope you get it in shape soon for some fun! I can't recall if I've ever seen the Beaver stock like that before or not either... neat find. Enjoy...

Here are a few. Cleaned up pretty good. The Mosin in the one pic is a 1928 hex receiver I just finished. Got it at a pawn shop for $150.

I had to go through the auction house I won it from. They make you go through them or it doesn't leave the building. Kinda sucks but when you have no choice it's what you have to do.

I bought this gun in 1977 at JC Penney at our local mall in Pittsburgh PA. I was 18 at the time, and paid $55. for it. Over the years it got tossed around thru many moves & lifestyle changes. After remarrying a man who loved guns, I got it out and after he cleaned up all the metal, I refinished the stock myself- BUT I left it the light natural color. ( the men weren't impressed) but it's always been a woman's gun, and will go to my only grand daughter someday. It was always a decent shooting 22!

Thanks! I grew up with a father who built/refinished furniture as a hobby, but that was the first time I ever used wipe on polyurethane. (Over twenty yrs ago) I was happy it turned out at all, lol.

I'm jealous! I found my Marlin/glenfield model 10, 1973 birth at my LGS. Single shot, must pull the trigger back to shoot it every time. But it's the only beaver stock I've come across here in my part of the country!

I keep the patina on my finds at the LGS!
