I joined the forum a couple months back. I was researching a Marlin Marauder that my father had just purchased. I learned more on this forum about that gun than anywhere else on the internet.

We always hunted with Remington 760s. Didn't know a lot about Marlins and their history.

I bought my first lever gun about 10 years ago. It was a Mossberg 464 with a 16 inch barrel. I hunted with that gun since then. My oldest son inherited the 760.

I have been looking for a Marlin trapper on and off for about the past 7 years. I was able to pick a new one up in May. Hope to get many more years of hunting in with it. I love the short barrel and the way it carries in the woods.

My younger son has now inherited the 464.

I have a feeling there'll be a couple more Marlins in our family's future.

Under 2 hours to Frackville. I literally just went through there on the way home from Knoebels Amusement Park this weekend.

We spent time riding dirt bikes and shooting rifles near the abandoned mines in the 1980's. We would stay in Frackville. They were some of my best childhood memories.
My brother Nicolas told me about the mines. I still have family living in Frackville.
