I stopped by the MCX today after work because they were having a 15% off sale on all guns. I have been thinking of picking up another 9mm suppressor host and wound up buying this Italian Beretta 92FS for $485 OTD with no taxes. This is actually my third 92FS but I sold the others a few years ago for whatever reasons I had at the time. I'm off for the next few days so plan to go to the range and test it out.

That is one fine pistol! Now you need get the CX4 Storm to pair up with it.
I did that, but just the opposite way. I bought the CX4 first, and then paired it with a 92FS. I think it's likely the most accurate 9mm in the safe, with the Beretta PX4 right behind it. Both are easy shooting handguns, and the CX4 Storm can be changed out to use mags from either one. I'll try to coax them all out at once for a family photo.

Congratulations Kingstrider!

Love it! My wife bought me it’s twin in El Paso last Christmas. Beautiful handgun in every respect! Made a few mods on mine to make up for the small hands/double stack conundrum. Skinny grips and a short reach trigger from Wilson made it ergonomically perfect for me. Fantastic shooter, and never hiccups. Couple that with a few 18 round mags, and you have yourself a hell of a handgun!!

I have been meaning to get a threaded barrel for mine as well...have read that they make excellent hosts.

Sweet 92 FS, John. I love Beretta's and my full size PX4 9mm is an awesome shooter, wickedly accurate, fantastic trigger, and fits my large hands perfectly. Well over a thousand rounds through it and not one hiccup. I'll be doing some mods to it soon enough but it's hard to improve on it's performance.

I still want to pick up a 92FS and send it off to Wilson Combat for some mods. Just cuz I love Beretta's!

FT, the CZ 75 compact is a very good pistol but I've heard the 75 B 9mm is quite snappy. I was considering a CZ 75 but after shooting the PX4, I chose the Beretta PX4 for a number of reasons. The PX4 fits my large hand betters, noticeably softer recoil, and a much shorter trigger reset. Although, the CZ 75 is a tad more compact than my full size PX4 with a 4" barrel. The PX4 compact is not CA compliant so it's not available to us here. Still, the PX4 my choice and if the compact was available, I'd have both.

I used the Beretta 92S, then the 92F, a compact we made wafer thin grips for and lastly a 96. All over many years. One thing they all had in common, was no stoppages. Nothing, no failures to extract, stovepipes or mis feeds. They just worked every time. If there is one thing I love in a firearm more than reliability, I haven't found it yet...

Big, but does the job...

BTW Flat Top, the CZ series were very popular and well made. The only thing I dislikes was the reduced gripping surface for working the slide, caused by the slide being inside the frame.... An issue with fast and positive manipulation. But I know many loved them...

Congrats,made in Italy!I wouldn’t own a USA Beretta.
I inherited a 1984 Beretta 92F from my dad.Really awesome.
And I also own a 2010 Beretta 92 FS.Nice pistol. But,it came with polymer trigger, guide rod and mag release.Got the upgrade kit with the metal replacement parts.Easy install. Now it’s as good as the older one.

My buddy had a USA Beretta 92FS.I compared them both side by side. The Italian made Has a nicer finish,is tighter and shoots a little better.I wasn’t surprised because I was told this.
Shoot them together one after the other, you’ll choose the Italian made too.

Beautiful pistol. Most beautiful semi auto in my opinion. I would often take mine out of the safe and just hold it to look at from time to time. I bought the Beretta aluminum grip panels and believe that they were worth every pretty penny over the plastic ones.

Familiar story, i traded mine in for another gun. When I move out of CA one day i will buy another to enjoy more than 10 rounds per magazine and hopefully live near enough to public land, or have private land to shoot faster than 1 round every 3 seconds, as per every shooting range near me. 'Will have Wilson Combat convert the slide safety to de-cocker only though.

I loved the double action first round. I would have liked double action only in that gun honestly.

Perfect shooting pistol. 100% trustworthy operation.

I've never held or fired a Beretta 92 of any shape or form. The only Beretta I ever fired was a .22 Short version of a Minx (I think) when I was a young teenager. It belonged to my buddy's mom, and we snuck it out to fire a few times. It worked great back in the early 1960s, but I have no experience since then with any Beretta. I do like DA/SA handguns, with Sigs being my preference in that type of firearm. My question is how does the 92 compare to my Sigs? Enlighten me please.........

I ordered a SiCo threaded barrel last week and installed it today. I have a couple of cans I can use including this 9mm suppressor that I built for my stainless .357 SBR project. The sights are not tall enough to see over either can so I will have to sight 'through' it until I can order a set of LPA sights.
