My "new" Husqvarna shotgun

I recently found an old Husqvarna shotgun: a model 103 CS
They came model A-B and C- depending on how they were finished. The "C" stands för Husqvarnas fanciest engraving:
It's a 12 gauge gun, and it was manufactured 1929. I have reamed the chambers to 70 mm (they were 65 mm from the factory) and started refinishing the stock- which is full of pittings, scratches and marks. It needs a lot of TLC. Hope i will have it finished till the dove hunt starts.
I will be Swedens "Dove Commander"

I hope you like it....

Thank you. I do a little gunsmithing myself.
I have cleaned the mecanism and started refinishing the stock and cut the checkering on the guns left side.

I will se if i get the time to do the right side tomorrow

This is how the checkering looks when the oil has dried

And the surface of the stock

Beautiful shotgun. I'm partial to old SxS. With those exposed hammers someone here in the States would've cut the barrels for Cowboy Action. I hunt grouse and woodcock with a browning BSS 20 ga. Happy hunting.

Congrats on a super nice Husky Shotgun. Sure looks like Old World Craftsmanship to me!

This is how the gun turned out after a light restoration:

Some of the original color-case hardening can still be seen

Yesterday i was out testing the gun: It is probably 40 years passed since the gun was fired the last time...
Now we are looking forward to the pigeon season

Beautiful piece. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little jealous.
