I have been checking out the xlr guns for awhile now in the different calibers.,I would really like to come across a .35 rem xlr up here but I think that will be impossible to do so I am hoping that Marlin decides to start building the .35 rem in xlr stainless.I am starting to save for it.It may be years,It may never happen but I am all in on one if I ever come across it.I see no reason why they shouldn't start a run of them, they have brought the .35 rem and .444 back. I already have a .35 rem jm that I bought new 13 years ago and would love to snag a stainless .35 rem.How about you? do you think they will start a production run of these in the next year or two?

Love my 35 Rem 336XLR and my 35 Rem 336As--they are great shooters. But in reality--the long barreled 336A/336XLR models were not big sellers during the JM years as compared to the regular carbine models. These rifles are now more highly prized but I don't think Remlin will bring them back anytime soon. Big R still hasn't completely recovered from their bankruptcy and needs to market models that will sell quickly.

I am looking into another .444,I bought one last fall, looked great and then when I went to actually shoot it.It had serious issues,I really not sure exactly what they were but it would not cycle anything and grinded shells.I sent it back and was refunded.I always wanted one though and see that I can get one closer to home and would be interested.I can't see myself ever coming across a ss version of either and I already have the .35 rem. I agree with them not being popular,I only know one other person that has anything other than a 30-30 and that's my good friend who bought a .45-70 sbl 4 months before me and another friend out west that purchased a .45-70 when i did 13 years ago. I still have the ammo for the .444 from last fall as I could not even exchange it for a box of .45-70 from a guy that I have spent 10 grand at the last decade on guns.

I am leaning towards a .444 by end of July.I can always buy the .35 rem xlr if it evers does come out.

I saw a new 444 Marlin Remlin a couple months back but I passed on the rifle--never even looked at it. After what I went through with a 308MX Remlin a couple years ago---I am not buying another Remlin anytime soon.

I see the same shop has a barely used .444 ss jm stamped with a Bushnell scope for 50 dollars less than a new .444.I think I would buy a new one.I have had good luck with remlins buying and selling them for years but the last one .444 was a tough pill to swallow, however the place where i bought it was excellent and took it back and paid all shipping fees.

Man o Man I am glad I snagged my 35 XLR when I did. Brand new somewhere around 2008. Didn't have the cash so I traded into it. Love it. I doubt they'll make them again. If you see one you can afford I'd snag it!!!

I’m in agreement that the XLR Marlins are a thing of the past... Those longer barreled rifles were great shooters, especially with the LeverEvolution ammo... both my son and I have XLR rifles in 45-70, which are our go to rifles when hunting the woods of PA and NY... A few years back, was fortunate To add a 338MXLR to the collection, which is a tact driver.

Keep Saving your funds and keep your eyes posted... The 24” barreled XLR Marlins are cherished firearms.... eventually you will catch an XLR for sale, but expect to pay $1200 -$1500 or more... And, my experience is that the XLR rifles in 35Rem are some of the rarest to find.

I put out a few feelers but I am not waiting forever as I don't believe I would ever come across one as the guys who love them won't give them up.I am tempted to buy a .444 but I also realize that I can just use my .35 rem for what I would the .444 for.I will see what happens the next few weeks.I am not 100% sure I want to add a regular .444 yet.I would jump on the xlr in either .35 rem or .444 if given the chance.

My .35 rem is my favorite hunting rifle and my #1 whitetail gun.

I have been toying with the idea of starting to reload for my .35 rem and .45-70 for almost 4 years.I now have a small business that allows me to be home more than before, and I am starting to look into it a little more. The only reason on why I haven't is I am nervous about screwing up but a good friend says it is extremely easy after you do it a few times.

I am not sure I need the ammo for volume as I may only shoot 100 shells a year no matter what but I am interested in it because I can build the bullet that I kill with, same reason on why I like to build all my hunting arrows myself.

Instead of a new rifle i may purchase a decent kit for reloading and all the extras here in the next month.
