Hello everyone. I’m trying to figure out the value of my Marlin. I purchased mine in 2009. i may have put only one box of round through it in all these years. I don’t know if mine is a JM stamp. My understanding is it either has the stamp or does not. My specific gun has a stamp but I’m not exactly sure what stamp it has. It also does not have any REM stamp on it. Any info or help is much appreciated.

Look at completed sales at auction, gun sales sites. Make sure it doesn’t have barrel droop since it was built in 2009. It’s clearly a JM Marlin, towards end of production before the hacks at Remington took over, I believe quality started to decrease.

it worth what someone is willing to pay. No more…no less.

being a 30-30 hurts the value to me. That’s because I’m not a big fan nor do I have the need for it. The next guy that

replies might think it’s the best caliber ever created.

I believe that is an incomplete strike of a JM stamp. That may be one of the last rifles put together at the factory, before the Freedom Corp. took over And fouled everything up.
A northern Midwest value, IMHO, would be around $850+. If it was a .308xlr or in .35 or .338xlr, I would put that value at $1200+.

No idea of current value but I remember seeing that model for $599 while on vacation in north myrtle beach about 15 years ago. At the time I thought "I don't need another 30-30" and also didn't want to deal with the hassle of shipping but would venture they sell for twice that now. The other XLR versions in 35, 444, 45-70 and 450 go for much more.
