I recently got a 25N and placed a Bushnell Sportview 5-20x40 on it and sighted it in today. 100yds and this thing shoots where you point it!! Now I just want a different stock. Anyone know if either of these Boyds stocks will fit my gun without modifications?? I have also included some of the target pics from today. The stray shots are while "walking" it into the bullseye.. lol..

If it's for a 900 series gun, then yes it will fit. I have a stock from a 917 on my 25mn.

The 25N was introduced in '88, replacing the Model 25.. The "N" stands for new. They changed the magazine and reversed the safety to forward fire. Maybe some other minor changes. If yours is a pre '77 (or pre '83 for that matter) Model 25, it should be a Glenfield 25. Marlin discontinued the Glenfield line in '83 but continued to produce most models as Marlins. If yours is a Marlin 25N, it is newer. The older 25s will require some modification to fit the aftermarket stocks. I think it involves removing some wood around the magazine slot.

Mine is an '87 Marlin Model 25.

Does your magazine look like these? If so its a 25 (non "N"). If not, and it says 25N on the barrel, you should be good to go.

Yes, yours was made in 2000. The 25N was renamed 925 in 2003, but is essentially the same rifle.

Bullseye077, or anyone else, let me know if you'd like to sell or donate your old 25N stock to my kids who are just now learning to shoot!
