Hello. I am new to the forum with just a couple posts so far. I have been lurking on and off for a while though. While at a gun show, my husband was helping me look for camp 9's. He also showed me a .22 bolt action Marlin with scope and squirrel on stock. He really seemed to like it, which is strange as antique outboard motors are his thing. Anyway, his birthday is next month and, I would like to get him one. Which models have the squirres on the stock and are also bolt action. I know about the 60. Anyone in Jacksonville, Florida wanting to sell one? I saw a 60 at the local gun & pawn beat up, no scope @ $99.00.

Thanks for the reply 1985Gunner. Your example is a wee bit too expensive for just the stock and not the rest of the rifle. NGa.MntHunter has a good example in his post titled "Glenfield Model 20 Good Frog Rifle." There have been some more examples of the bolt actions on here under the "show them if you got them" type section for pictures. I have seen many examples of the model 60 with the squirrels on either side of the stock thru gunbroker, here and google using "images" as my filter. However, they don't always say model names/numbers. That is what I need to expand my search. So my first choice is the bolt action then maybe the 60. If anyone in Jacksonville, Florida has one, let me know. Thanks for your help. The hunt is on!

Thanks Jr 1968. This will actually help. My guess is there are a lot of different variations of the same rifle. Many posters have said they got ones from hardware stores, tire stores and other places. If I can't find the bolt action locally, I may just get the model 60 in as good as condition as possible and hopefully already scoped. I kinda like the search/hunt. Normally, on gunbroker, I type in "glenfield marlin" and see what comes up. There are some neat 30-30's with deer carvings on them. I like those too. Maybe in the future...
