It’s been over 20 years since Marlin made the 1894CP 357 with the 16” barrel. Since I couldn’t wait another 20 years for Marlin to bring it back, I bought this one on GB, I should get to enjoy it for at least a few years. I had a spare Burris 4X compact scope to put on it.

I’ve had it out to the range a few times and it seems to prefer 180gr bullets
Hornady 180gr XTP‘s over H110 @ 50 yds

Rem 180gr JHP factory loads @ 50 yds shoot about 2” higher

I like the short Marlins. This is it’s 16” Big Brother in 45 Colt, set up the same way

I've got a nice Marlin Model 1894 .357 Magnum carbine made in 1980 in nice shape. It has an 18 inch barrel. I don't have a scope on it and haven't shot it for years. I need to take it out and check accuracy like you have done. These are really nice Marlin lever action rifles.

Have had a 357 ported for over 25 years. Got robbed on the price. Had to give 400 for it but was like new shot 5 times.
