I have just acquired an 1893. It has a 24" barrel shiny and bright looks almost new. Has a 9 or 9.5" forearm and the 5 or 7 round magazine tube. Standard iron sights that the rear sight is adjustable. I have found the date of 1901 as a manufacture date but to verify it is 222xxx. I would rate condition at 75% on the low side to be safe because of a little pitting on the receiver, all blueing is intact and the barrel is almost perfect inside and out. Can anyone help me determine the value of this rifle in 30-30 caliber. Thanks in advance

Ok. Thanks for the info. Really wish there were factory records, but Brophy's lists enough details about it. It is the Monarch of the Glen engraving. I wish I could see who the engraver was because it is beautiful. I've seen other examples of engraved Marlins and the detail in this one is unbelievable.
