Manufacture years for Marlin Model 99 M1 Style

Can anyone please post the years of manufacture for the Model 99 M1 carbine style .22LR? I remember reading somewhere that it was only manufactured between 1958 - 1960 (?), but I am not sure how valid the information was.

1964-1978, pre 68 had no serial numbers.

Mines right about in the middle with an MFG date of '69.

Mine was made in 71'

The first two digits on mine are 71XXXXX...I am told that is 1971. I just picked it up and am still researching but boy do I love it.

I wander how close our serial numbers are? Mine was of course made in 71 and starts with 71 also.
