I thought those of you not from Canada might find this add interesting. I am not the seller and want to share it to give everyone an idea of the different markets that exist elsewhere in the world.
Here is the ad:
NON-RESTRICTED
Excellent condition carbine with rare nickel finish, few were brought into country
Still has original sticker on the stock
Micro groove barrel
Scope mount allows you to use the rifle sights with scope mounted
It uses S&W auto magazines (easy to aquire)
c/w 1 marked marlin magazine and 1 S&W mag.
$1100 Shipped
No pictures were provided.
The appeal of a rifle that accepts pistol magazines is that in Canada that allows the use of a 10 round magazine in a semi-automatic rifle.
It struck me as odd that the gun is listed as "Non-Restricted" as that indicates a barrel longer than 18.5 inches in a semi-auto, as I understand all Camp Carbines were 16 1/2 inch barrels. No mention of a re-barrel.
I'd be very interested to hear what others think. I will post my thought later on.
