Is lee going to make a gas check maker?Has anyone found one that works great and you are able to get?

That is the only source, I beleive. My understanding is he makes a batch, then put them up on evilbay. ;D
I emailed Lee on this very subject. Their reply was they have one in the system already. They did say that receiving emails is one sure fire way to let management know that we want one. So in the immortal words of Dean Martin "Lets keep those cards and letters coming in." So if we all let Lee know they may just hurry things up.
Having spent a considerable amount of time researching checks, any issue with fit with the. 014" material? For our levergun bullets, checks are spec'd at a .017" thickness with two exceptions; 35 and 338 caliber checks, which are spec'd at .010". The gas check shank of a bullet is cut with these considerations in mind.Pard said:
In theory, would it be possible to bore out a check-design boolit mould by those few thousandths in the heel region to better accept the thinner check? Could be another option to add to your moulds on top of the plain-base modification you just added. Specially formulated for the Marlin, you get to choose what style of base you want THEN you even get to pick the specific kind of check you want to use! Sounds like one heckuva package deal to me!
