Don't know about the Mags, but My 1894 absolutely hates the Blazer 44 Specials. Jams galore. No issues with brass cartridges.

 

The manual for my .357 rifle specifically says to not use CCI Blazer ammunition as the cases aren't strong enough to withstand the action and can be torn open.

 

Saw an 1894 rip the rim off a Blazer alum. .44 at the range this past summer, but the rest of the box seemed to shoot & feed thru THAT particular gun just fine.

I've used some of the 357 Blazer ammo in a 1892 clone and it worked just fine. But if Marlin says not to use it, I'd stay away from it in a 1894.

 

Not sure but the 44spl does not feed very well in my 1894.

 

I would limit its use to revolvers. My manual says the same thing.(357)

That's all I need to know. I will stick with Brass then.

 

The Magtech 240 JSP can be had, when you can find it, for less than $30 per box. It's re-loadable brass and seems to do well in most 1894s, mine included.

 

I would never purchase it. As far as I'm concerned it's Cr@p and you would be better off investing in your own reloading equipment and making your own reloads at a fraction of the cost.

Or an 18 dollar lee loader like my cheap arse. does the same thing but with a lot more effort lol.

 

Every person I've taught to reload, has loaded a box full with a Lee Loader first off. Seems to "hammer" the basics into their head right quick.

I'v used it plenty without problems. It should sure feed, the gun cant tell what the case is made from. The reason they caution against it is because of fragility and the possibility of ripping the head off the case like at least one of us experienced.
