Hi,

I previously ordered my cast bullets from Bonus Bullets but they seem to have gone out of buisness. Does anyone have a reccomendation on a low cost supplier? I not only need 45/70 405 gr .460 dia I am also going to start reloading .45 colt and would appreciate a recomendation on a plinking /hunting bullet for my Bisley,

Thank you for your time and expertise in advance,

Reed

Just a little info, for you we do have a cast bullet section here now. Ranch Dog is moderating, there is a lot of good info there. Post your questions at that forum and you may get a lot more answers.

I really suggest casting your own, the intial startup maybe pricey, but the long term returns are great. And I use Ranch Dogs Molds for my 45 and 44 bullets and waiting for the 30 cal mold to come in.

The RD 45 bullets I use in my 45-70 and a couple of Coyotes were dispatched with these, good shootin' well designed for Marlin. The RD 44 I use in my T/C Contender Super 14, shoots great, but I am waiting for warmer weather and go to the range to see how well I can punch paper with them, then next deer season, I will use my 44 for deer.
