HEY GUYS:

I have an old Case pocket knife that has a broken blade. I've heard there is a place that can replace blades.

Does anyone have any info on this? Thanks.

Love the old Case knives! Got a couple that were my great grandfathers that have a lot of sentimental value too!

MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!!

Today I received my Case pocketknife in the mail. They didn't repair it, as they led me to believe they would. A note said they had re-tooled and didn't have the parts. They could only repair knives with the parts they had from the "current production year".

DUHHH--why send in an older knife for repair if this year's parts is all they have? I'm not real happy and I told them so in an e-mail.

Hey DR,

That is a real bummer!

Really thought that Zippo/Case would fix it......

Next time down to Indiana, I will speak with a long time, 40+ yr, Case Stocking Dealer....

I was following this thread and just caught up and I share your disappointment! I expected better from Case.

Maybe you could find an individual that can do the repair. I have an old, damaged Craftsman knife made by Shrade that has some sentimental value. I've considered buying a "donor" knife on eBay and finding someone to cannibalize the parts to repair mine.

Sorry this didn't end better.

I am very surprised at the results. Don't understand why they would not be able to repair it as they still make blades of all the metals they used in the 50's and still make almost all the same models of knives. Also why the first letter and then a complete turn around. Either someone dropped the ball or Case has gone down hill recently. I know they are now owned by Zippo but I would have thought better of Zippo also. Maybe Trump needs to get on their ass.
