The laminated wood stocks like those on the stainless SBL....has anyone mounted them on a blued 1895? Just curious as to what that would look like....

To date, I've not seen or heard of anyone doing synthetic for the Marlins. I prefer laminate over synthetic any day.

I've done it to several rifles. I really like the look. Don't have a pic of my 45-70 handy, but here's what it looks like on a 444. These started out as XLR stocks.

I have seen the lam stocks on eBay - also in several "colors"

I'm not super keen on the lam stocks - but it DOES look good together

I agree, I like the look. I just my set in for my 336 (actually a Western Field). I got the set off Gunbroker. It came from Western Gun Products in Canada. Took a bit to get here, but was worth it. I would like a straight grip set for my 1895 though...

I just need to get the machine work done on my 336 so I can get it cerakoted black. The flat looks better than the polished with the black laminate. Best thing is the gun will match my M1 Garand. The walnut stock cracked and the only stock I could find was a Boyd's black/gray laminate. Turns out I like the look, so I have a bunch of other guns that that match it...
