It is not dead but it has gone the way of many before it and is now a classic. Like 32 win, 300 savage, 7x57, 30-40, etc. Ammo production will be spotty and likely seasonal.

 

Go to gunbroker.com. There is one ad for .450 Marlin brass and a set of Hornady dies in AMMUNITION RELOADING and 32 ads for loaded ammo in AMMUNITION. Prices are high, but they will get higher. Get it now before it goes the way of the Triceratops.

 

Gun broker is a broken sales method pushed by a broken Biden economy. I wouldn't buy squat there. The last .450 I bought to feed my BLR came from here.

 

Gunbroker prices are too high for my meager wallet. After you add in fees and such, poor folks like me are left out in the cold.

Following an inquiry I made to Hornady on 6/26/23 regarding the status of 450 ammo and brass, this is the response I received:

 

It appears everyone gets a different reply from Hornady when asked about availability.

 

So everyone should just make it a point to continue to ask. Maybe then they will get annoyed and start making everything we need. Which, of course, is the RIGHT answer.
