My cousin in Northern California uses Lehigh Bullets... They only come in 305gr though... He had DRT in both pigs and bear...

 

I think the 300 gr bullets will be more than sufficient in .458. Copper weighs less than lead so bullets will be lighter. Sorry I don't know of any heavier solid copper bullets.

I really love these, I use them a lot in my 458 Socom, and have used them a little bit with great success in the 45-70.
KAK 300 grain solid brass. will put down anything unfortunate to be in their path.

How much are they apiece?

 

I've used the 300gr Barnes TSX in my muzzleloader at 1950fps. The 300gr Barnes is the same length as a 405gr Rem. I'd be very surprised if you weren't impressed with the 300 TSX.

I have found the 250 gr barnes tsx HP and shoot them, but not at game. They have an HP big enough to use as a cigar tray! I use them as my watermelon smashers, not sure you could tame them to not destroy a deer.

They have some crazy rounds for the .458 dia, (socom and 45/70) those were the more "normal" rounds, and at a kinda-sorta reasonable price.
