Shop got this one in a couple weeks ago and thats about how long I was away for on vacation. It is an R serial #. It has a little bit of lite surface rust in a couple tiny spots, but strong bluing on it. A small crack in the stock. Was drilled and tapped on top and had a scope before I got it, hence the sight hood missing. Put a couple rounds through it just now and it functioned fine. Final price was $300.00 out the door.

For the money you paid, it looks very good! I wouldn't worry about where the scope was mounted.

Nice find at a great price!

It's also drilled and tapped for a receiver sight. Put on a lyman receiver sight and shoot standard velocity ammo through it for some low noise fun.

That's a very good price, at least it would be around here! I've seen quite a few in that shape and in my area they've been in that $650+ range. I'd be happy finding one at the price point in that condition.
