Last winter during the ammo shortage guys were dumping their 35's locally for 5-600. Now you can't touch one here in decent shape for under $1000-1200. A hunted condition 70's era gun just sold for $1500 near me. WOW. Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

About 1.5 weeks ago at a gun show there was a 35 caliber 336 for sale for $750. Pretty nice shape. I debated on it, but I just picked up another one about a month earlier. There were two other ones at the show for $825 and $950.

I am not seeing a lot of used Marlins in any caliber at my LGS. I figure people are holding onto them or selling them for big bucks on GB.

I do have the 35 whelen limited run carbine as well. Bought it back around 19’/20’ when Gryce’s kept running the limited runs on them non stop. They started out at $629. Think I paid $689 and it was around round three on them. They did a few more “limited” ….unlimited runs before Remington finally went Bankrupt. I had to send mine back in for warranty work because it wouldn't feed and sone other issues with it at the time. Took several months before I got it back. It was way after they filed for bankruptcy. Was pretty nervous needless to say about getting it back. Finally got it back with a polished feed ramp.

I have a '73 336A 35 Rem/'07 Mod 336XLR in 35 Rem/'66 Glenfield 30 in 35 Rem/'57 336RC Texan in 35 Rem/'79 Rem Mod 760 in 35 Rem----all of them are rare birds which I luckily bought around 10 years ago when the prices were more reasonable. They will be going to my son when I can no longer hunt or shoot.
