I went to a pawn shop to kill some time and there were some Marlin 30-30. It is a 336 and has a gold trigger. The S/N is 72083XXX
I know the DOM is 72 and there isn't any letters after the 336
My question is; is this a standard 336? Any advice??? Thanks

Three to three-fifty is about average for the PNW from what I've seen. There's some that go higher and some lower. That's for .30-30's, sure alot of guys that frown on them around here, seems a majority need a whiz-bang. I'm not complaining though, more ammo on the shelves for me! LOL!

Kevin, if the 336 is in "good condition" with a crappy scope, ask the dealer if he will take $300 & he can keep the scope. No sense paying for something you don't want (scope).

I'll wait a couple of weeks and go by there with cash and haggle with ythe manager and tell jhim he can keep the scope. I noticed when I went back again I notices that on the bottom sied if the rear stock there's a hole, looks like a sling swivel would have been there. Overall in good shape.....we'll see. Thanks for all the advice.
