Many years ago, I was in a local pawn shop. When a guy brought in his Marlin Collection to sell. One of the Marlin Lever Guns was a 218 Bee in like new condition. I really wanted to buy that rifle but it was never put out for sale. I am pretty sure the owner of the Pawn Shop just added to his Marlin Collection. And I have never seen another Lever Action Marlin in 218 Bee. I always wanted to know just what the price of one of these rifles would be. And also just how well did they shoot. I hope somebody here can give me so info on this subject. Thanks in advance for any help.

$1200+- has been the bidding limit on GB lately.
Been watching.
Think it's more of an ammo issue at somewhere north of $1.80 a round and no-one making it an zip case production and the "mother" case being produced on a backordered situation. Hand production out of 32-20 cases is an expert operation in my opinion.

Came across one at a gun show about 15 years ago. An as new 94 with the Ducks Unlimited coin in the stock. Got robbed on the price but had to have it. Paid 600 OTD. It was wrapped in bubble wrap when found in a storage locker. I reload so no worries about ammo.

I purchased mine NIB in 2007 for $650. Ammo was a staggering $50 a box at that time. Now, that rifle is well north of $1200 and last box of ammo spotted was $120.

Not to learn my lesson, I added another in a Ruger no. 1, then a Browning 65, then a Winchester 43. No regrets, because they are all fine rifles and the Bee is an excellent cartridge. Fortunately, I purchased 350 Hornady cases on sale before Covid. My AMP annealer will keep this brass alive until I die. I will post pics of my rifles as soon as I find them.

Thank You all very much for your info. I bought my Model 43 Win 218 Bee in the summer of 1963. I was 20 years old. It was used, but in very good condition. It had a K6 or K8 Weaver scope on it if I remember right. A nice Military Leather Sling on it and 2 boxes of Win 46 grain JHP`s. 100 Rounds. I paid $40.00 for all of it and walked out the door of the gun shop. Ammo I used back then was REM 45 grain JHP`s or WIN 46 grain HLP`s 50 rounds in a box. And a box of shells was $4.15. Which I tried to buy 1 or 2 boxes each Friday. I have carried my Model 43 218 Bee 100`s of miles. Just out walking around Varmint hunting over the years. I have shot countless Coyotes, Jackrabbits, Groundhogs, P Dogs, Rock Chucks with my 218 Bee.I have reloaded for my 218 Bee since I got it. Hunting with my 218 Bee is liking hunting with an Old and Trusted Friend. This rifle has been a constant companion to me. And I still hunt and shoot it often. And She still shoots as well as when I bought Her. But Our walks and hunts are much shorter now. I turned 80 Yrs Old 10-20-23. And I don`t have the legs any more, like I use to. Sorry if I got long winded, but this Little Rifle is very special to me.

I just came into possession of 40 rounds of 218 Bee. They came with some 219 Zipper I bought. I already load for a Hornet, Zipper and a 22-250 and have my 5.56/.223 for social use. I really do not need a Bee. But a 218 Bee in a pump rifle would fill a nitch and scratch an itch LOL.
