Does anybody have a picture of a 22" 1895 with a straight grip stock on it. I really like the straight grip stocks, but not sure if the short barrel of the guide gun is what I really want to get. I went and looked at the guide gun and the 18.5" cowboy side by side, and like them, but I think I'd prefer the longer barrel.

promised Pics of 1895 Conversion to Straight Stock

A forum member with opposite desires for our 1895's connected and made the parts swap. I did have some tweaks on my gun with the lifter and it went to Lew Bonitz to solve. It is super sweet now. A vintage steel Lyman finishes it off. The wood matches perfectly, it is a 1994 'JM' 22" barrel model. Bought it new in 1995 for $350.
