Will a marlin 336 stock fit the 1984 tang?? I found a 1894 pistol grip lever and concerned now in finding a pistol grip stock to fit the action.

That's my understanding too Erik. On modern Marlins, it's all the same buttstock. The only difference is straight grip or pistol grip.

I've got an older 1894 Carbine that needs a butt stock and I'm looking at all the straight grips so long as they're uncheckered to match the forearm.

I have both the 336 and 1984 models and their butt stocks are totally interchangeable. The 336 trigger plate sticks out from the 94' stock and the 94' will have a deep groove with a 336 stock but these don't affect the operation of either guns. However they don't look good with mismatched stocks.

I may have to switch my wifes 1894 strait stock 44Mag to a pistol grip.... I like the looks of the strait stocks but with my hands I need the PG.

Say Doc, any plans for you casting pistol rounds someday? ? I would of course be interested in 250 to 300 gr in. 452!
