There is a capacity comparison in one of the stickies, I believe in the 45-70 section.

I use Win brass that came as loaded ammunition but all the brass I've purchased outright is Starline. About 99% of my loads are in the trap door range so I don't worry about case capacity. Unless a load becomes inaccurate when I have switched brass.

For high end loads I am meticulous about staying with the same components.

The nickel cases tend to be a bit more brittle but annealing might extend their life. I do use some nickel Starline brass for 45 Colt loads that might sit in a leather holster belt or in a rifle kept handy for vermin.
