New to this forum, but love the knowledge base for working out the common problems (for ya'all) that I have encountered with my camp 45 and 1894 357 Marlins. I found your site researching my Camp 45 before buying one and learned of the buffer pad and recoil spring issues and broken stocks by your members stories. With this I was better informed to buy an excellent condition Camp 45 and replace the spring and buffer before firing it. The perfect mate for my Springfield SS 6" V16 1911. Keep sharin the knowledge boys it is appreciated...

So is this team still alive? Being one of the team captains takes time, and the Camp team is only a handful of guys... Team captains need to be on the forum daily. If shovelhead doesn't have that kind of time, maybe someone else does ??? sorry not me though.....

I might have time to do it in a month or two...finishing up remodel/refi/re-move all my stuff back into the house........

If shovelhead hasn't been on here since the 12th, then the odds are, he only logs on here once in a while. Team captains have to be here daily, no excuses. He may never log on again for all we know.....

A Camp Team is a great idea, and I've pitched it before a couple years back, but it needs people who'll be dedicated enough to stick with it to be a success..

Update on Shovelhead

This is his wife and he wanted me to let you all know that he had another heart attack but is recovering just fine now. He had the first one while on vacation and after we were home for a spell he had another bigger one. He apologizes for being vacant from the board and will not be active for a short while to come.

Please forgive me if it sounds like I was bagging on Shovelhead.....There are lots of members around here, and sometimes it's hard to keep track of the ones who have real problems and the ones who just disappear. Hoping for a speedy recovery and return to the range for Shovelhead and again sorry if I came across badly......

I have a Camp 9 that I got as a basket case - painted barrel and everything wrong - but stock was OK. Rebuilt, reblued and it shoots great.
I have a Camp 45 that I bought in pristine shape, just dirty.

No mods other than good springs and buffers.

Count me in!!
