So I went back and took her home. Not a real bargain but since I had given up on seeing much less buying one I guess it's okay. $800. Only real problem with it is some scratches on the stock and a missing sight or scope. Must have had a peep on it since it has an elevated blade on the front but I want to put a scope on it since for up to 150 yd shooting at the range. So when I was trying to get the price down some I mentioned the cost or work to refinish the stock and the guy said they aren't too deep so nothing a little tru oil wouldn't take care of. So can you just clean a stock and then just put some tru oil to fix the scratches? I've refinished one and removed dents so I know how well that works except for all the time. So what's the best scope to put on this thing and should I just refinish to make it look good since it is an $800 rifle? Thanks for any comments. And I guess I need to start reloading if I like this thing since ammo is so expensive.
