PRVI Partizan soft tip ammo is made in Serbia and is commonly sold at discounted pricing. I bought a box of 30-30 150 grain ammo recently at a gun show try out. I was disappointed with the accuracy results at 100 yards. Best 3 shot group was 3 inches and worst was 4 inches. In contrast, Winchester Power Point ammo cuts these groups sizes in half. Yes, it's accurate enough to kill a deer at typical woods distances but doesn't produce the level of accuracy that I accustomed to. My advise is to spend a little more for the "good stuff."

I've used 5 boxes of it in 45-70, and found it to be reasonably accurate (under 2" at 100 yds) in any of my Marlins and my Pedersoli Sharps. Guess maybe the 30-30 stuff isn't as good as the 45-70 stuff. Guess I'll stay away from it for my 30-30. Thanks for the report.

I've found that PPU .30-30 cannot be used in my Henry H009, as the cases stick and have to be hammered out with a rod. I've been able to fire them in a Marlin 336, but even then the cases are sticky and hard to eject.

I've used PPU ammo in other calibers, .223, 9mm, .40, .38 special, all without any issues. I stay away from the .30-30, though.

I have read on the interwebz that Privi brass is a bit on the soft side which accounts for the swelling and sticking. I just wait until I fing good old Core-lokt or the like at reduced prices somewhere. The last time was 200 rounds at a local pawn shop- 170 grain SP's for $12 a box out the door.

The ammo and brass are very good in .303 British. Privi is my preferred brass for reloading 303 . For some reason they did not work as well for fireforming 30-30 Ackley. I'm not sure if they were too hard for that much of a stretch but I had a few damaged cases.

they cost what they are worth. imho.
I believe there is a reduced presence of copper, which is the most expensive component, in the alloy with which the cases are made.

After 10 rounds of this ammo I had extremely hard extraction issues! Never experienced before. Marlin 336. Quite possibly a dirty chamber but I’m not willing to risk it again for the minimal savings. I’m stay with stateside ammo.
