Just put my first Skinner peep on my very early Henry Big Boy. Took the early canti lever scope mount off and went more traditional. Now the question is........are there any scout scope mounts for the early Marlin waffle tops? Drilling is not an option.

I like the Lyman 66 peep site that came with with my 1955 35Rem. Site has clickable elevation & windage adjustment.
It screws onto the receiver, you will find 2 tapped hole's either side & slightly below the ejector hole. I'm not sure what year Marlin discontinued drilling & tapping for peep sites like the Lyman.

It's more of a 'ghost ring' in this pic, I've since found a couple smaller diameter screw in peeps.
I've been told the 1955 35Rem was the first year they had factory drilled & tapped receiver.
