You guys with your Harleys sure are a funny lot. I favor a British bike, like the '67 Triumph Bonneville I used to have, because I prefer to spend more time working on my bike than riding it, know that manly bikes "mark their territory," and love the thrill of not knowing what gear you'll get when you shift.

Seriously, American motorcycles, indeed. ;)

I sure do like those italian bikes, in either red or yellow, old or new. They do tend to be pricey, though. I really appreciate the intrinsic goodness of the vintage American designs, but feel they're a bit too much engine and a bit too little handling for my tastes. The new Buells look nice, but too much engine. Those Fischer MRX's look almost there, but the fact that little more than slightly ugly reworked Korean bikes turns me off.

Think I'll get another Triumph next time, either a new Bonneville or a Street Triple. Been thinking about trading my car for one and a cheap beater truck, for about a year.

I've got a used '06 Victory Kingpin I bought last year; it's really a good "ride"! I still have a Vstrom 650 that will have to go because of lack of room. My favorite bike was a BMW K100RS, but I had to give it up after a shoulder operation (getting too old for the "lay down" position :D). I like the new "Harley's" and have only ridden one Triumph since the "Bonny" and it was an incredibly fast 3 cylinder (If I recall right) Trident my "in-law" owned. I can't imagine being without a "two wheeler".

Actually when Harley did away with the Shovelhead's and came out with the Evolution motors we quit working on them and did a lot more riding!! ;)

I like 'em as well for dirt riding anyway. My first bike, when I was 8yrs old, was a Suzuki RM75
back before they made the RM80....now the RM85

I've ridden and raced motocross for years, and just recently quit. I like the taste of dirt much better than concrete. ;D
That's why they say to "Keep the rubber side down" ;D

I just now found this thread and don't have nary a picture to put on, but I will have tomorrow. We have ours and about 5 more at the shop now. All good ole American Harley's. Won't even let anything else other than an Indian on the lot. Make folks on Jap bikes park on the neighbors property. Hehehe! Contrary bunch I guess we are.

I did ride a Honda Elsinore when I was a kid. It was bad little bike with that power band.

Hey fellers, I can't get the dang things to load to photobucket for some reason. Coupe de ville sent me pics of his rifle last night and they loaded right up, but it won't load these of mine for some reason. I took several pics the day after I last posted here. Been trying once in a while to load them. Maybe I could send them to one of you fellers to try.

AWESOME Tman!!! I started my boy out on a Suzuki RM50 when he was 5yrs old and then moved him up to a Kawasaki KX-60 at 7yrs old....that was what he raced his first race on.
Very fast bikes for their size.

When I had my 65 back in 02, which is pictured in a few of the pics, my dad at 280 pounds was scared to go past 3rd gear because the front end would start coming up. lol

That's funny....reminds me of my wife, she wheelied over on the KX60 ;D ;D
She thought she could handle it's power but once the front end came up she couldn't stop giving it more gas....and more gas...and more gas until it finally came over. She never got hurt but I couldn't help but laugh...she respected it after that and took easy on the throttle.

My kx125 was a real beast. Nothing like holding it wide open and jumping a 60 foot triple step up!

Here guys. Tman helped me out with my pics. Thanks Tman!

This is my 1988 FLHT. Call it my old geezer bike. Was putting new tires on it the day of the pic. It has a newer EVO engine on it.

Next is my partners brand new 2008 Rocker.

This is my 1976 FLH Shovelhead. Have it torn down to put a new piston and cylinder head on it.

Nice.. Yes I added the code links you needed to show them.. ;D

If you set up your photobucket account.. once uploaded , just click the bottom link with the IMG in it.. it will auto copy and you just right click and paste here in messagebox

GJ, I have had a photobucket account for quite some time but for some reason or another it would not upload these pics. I tried others last night of my supper for the cast iron forum and they loaded right up like they were supposed to. I tried these bike pics for a week or longer with no luck. Pics were taken with the same camera and everything. One of those things that make you go hmmmmmmm!

the only thing missing was the IMG links.. all else was fine... I added them manual.. Second row down and second one in on the caption buttons above will give you the img code also and you can paste the link direct .. I just click on the bottom one in bucket and it copies automatic.. then come here and right click and paste it..
