To be honest, if I had a bunch of stuff that I wanted to hang from a Marlin I might do it. But the XS rail has plenty of space for my limited needs.

 

I'm always about gadgets and innovation and this is not a bad idea. However, I'm not into tactical lever actions so I won't be getting one of these rigs.

If I were a professional hog hunter I might go for that. It would probably work well at night and it would be too dark to see how ugly it was.
Yeah, I apologize now for being a stuffy old fart. My son-in-law's would probably like it.

 

I like wood. I put Magpul furniture on an 870 turning it into a "plastical shotgun". It did not last more than a month before the original wood was back in place.
