Team Rimfire:
I purchased a Glenwood 25 Marlin 22lr bolt action two weeks ago. Wonderful shape really has not been used all that much, which amazes me. Any way it did not have the magazines with it. Pawn shop could not find them so they sold the rifle for $50. I was concerned that it would be difficult to fine magazines. Ebay sellers were asking $39.00 for one magazine, well folks do not pay that amount I found them for a very reasonable price.
I found the 7 round magazines at GrabAGun for $12.44 each. The magazines are factory parts, (Marlin 704046) and Blued. These magazines fit the Marlin Models 80, 780, 20, and 25. Those Rimfire folks who want to try the CCI Hyper Velocity Stinger Rounds will have no problem with their bolt action rifles. Just a note Stinger round will work in the Simi-Auto M60 but not to long, may be 500 round. Then you have a chore putting in a new soft buffer, I have done it twice.....:vollkommenauf:
Also, I have a plinking range on my property and tried out the magazines and the Hypervelocity Stinger rounds. Ten round average from the mussel was about 1610 fps. CCI makes High quality 22lr rounds, these Stingers have a very flat trajectory and just plan fun to shoot. Its silly I know but can't wait for rabbits to get in my greens garden this fall. Yum Yum rabbit stew.
I love Marlin JM marked rifles, quality and grate shooters. I get excited shooting 22lr though 45/70 GG. Hope you all find the thread useful.
