NKD is here, don’t forget to hold that one you love dearest and cut something with it!!!

Here is a freebie that my nephew received from eBay (seller shipped hm wrong knife) told him to keep it and sent him the correct one. I cleaned it up for him as best as I could. This old Rapala is probably old as I am!
Let’s see what you’re holding for National Knife Day! Take us a pic!

Wera screwdrivers added in background for extra points!

Cool, never heard of national knife day before but better late than never. I'm a big fan of Buck knives, especially the automatic folders. Here's a pair of Elite 110 and 112 automatics with nickel silver bolsters.

Here's a couple more but I haven't seen them since I moved last summer. Probably boxed up somewhere in my gun room.

How do you like the 110 & 112 autos?
Been thinking of trying one out.
Always been a big Buck knives fan.

Is the 898 (orange handled) an auto?

Newest member arrived the day before yesterday. It's a 2nd Muela Kodiak with stag scales. The first has slightly nicer stag, so this one will be used along with another Kodiak with Micarta.

Knife day, hurray. Always carry one, where legal of course. On the range last week and a fellow range officer dealing with a shooters jammed rifle called to me, 'do you have your knife on you?' Course I do, just flick the offending case out. And while your at it, buy a pocket knife and carry it.

Knife crime is a terrible thing. It includes letting them go blunt, letting them rust and worse offence of all, not having one within reach.

Well, I had no idea that there was such a day. That's one on me! Next year I'll toast the day with Scotch. I'm always looking for a reason to make a toast. :)

While I have a couple of custom and semi-custom knives that I use for hunting, these military knifes that I used for most of my career, both overseas and in the States, remain trusted companions. From mountains to swamps and from deserts to jungles, they performed as advertised.

Indigenous machetes and bamboo knives from Central America, the Philippines, and SE Asia:

Very nice!!

I have what you deemed a "parachutist" knife from my career as an Army pilot. It was part of our survival gear vest. I've not looked at my old gear for many years since I gifted my Grandson my old "steel pot" liner for his birthday. I'm curious now, if I might also have my survival knife, which was the same? as a combat knife to my eye. I'd reckon both would be worth a good bit today after being carried by this old man in 3 combat zone deployments.

Thanks for the pictures 👍

Happy National Knife Day!
Received my White River Fire Crafter in today’s mail.
This is my first White River knife and I must say I’m impressed. It comes in a nice wood box that is sealed with a paper stamp.

The steel is S35VN and is razor sharp. This is the 7 inch version, they make a 5 as well, but why waltz when you can rock and roll.

It came in a kydex sheath with a fire steel.

This is it in action filleting up a feather stick…

She comes with a divot in the scales for a bow and drill operation.
I would definitely buy from this outfit again!
Thanks @.DIRTY-.THIRTY …now I have to eat hot dogs for a month! Lol.

Love the profile of that thing! Nice Sabre grind! Is those liners red or orange, coming through orange on my end. How’s the blade thickness?
Orange liners with green micarta scales…3/16” blade thickness. There is some jimping on the spine along with a small cut out for striking the fire steel, nice sharp right angle for drawing sparks.
Everything about this blade is well thought out and high quality.
