Reloading components in pistol calibres is thin on the ground around here. Grabbed some of these primers while I could. Powder I use is ADI2205 (H110). Will the magnum primers be a significant change to cause any issues? Higher pressures?
I don't really want to start over with load development, so I might just take them back if it changes things. All advice appreciated. Cheers.

I mainly try to get the winchester LP (for standard and magnum) primers as I only need to stock one LP primer. When they're not available I try to get CCI 350's. I mostly use W296 (same as H110) for jacketed or Alliant 2400 for cast in my 44 revolvers. I haven't noticed a pressure difference between the win, fed standard or CCI350's.... but I also usually run middle of the road loads.

Thanks REK. I use the same load, only I've been using Winchester 240gr flat points. It's hard to find much variety in 44 cal projectiles here at the moment.

I also use 23.5gr H110/W296 and the 240XTP. I've had good luck with the XTP in rifles and pistol...with a sabot in a muzzeloader too. The only 44 bullets I've had a bad experience with were some Winchester 240gr SJHP back in the 90's that didn't open up larger than bore dia when shot from a 8" pistol into a doe at about 30 yards. Even the tougher xtp's would mushroom with similar shots, although not as much as the long discontinued hornady SJHP or a Sierra 240gr hp. 240xtp shoot great in my 44 marlin and work great on deer so I try to not run out of those.

Next question. Vihtavouri powders are turning up here and there. Has anyone had good results with n110 or n120?
