Looking for best powder and bullet suggestion for the 35 Remington, any help would be appreciated.

As above, 44.0 grains LVR and either the 200 Hornady or Remington - 2200 fps from my barrel. The CoreLokt is the better hunting bullet by far, but inside 100 yards or a bit more the Hornady works. The latter is more accurate in my 18.5” barrel - sub moa if you can believe it - but the Remington is plenty accurate for deer to 200 yards. Don’t try the Hornady that far.

Win 748 & Hornady 200Gr RN bullets. This is after trying a few different loads. I also shot 180gr Speer FN bullets in my 35 for a while and it shot them well.

I should mention my 35 is a 1966 336 with a 17” barrel, and shoots better than it did with a 20” barrel.

The 200 grain Hornady FTX bullet over 42.0 grains of LVR works well in my 336. The Sierra 200 grain RN over a healthy charge of IMR 3031 is another good choice. As distance increases to over 100 yards the FTX retains velocity/energy much better. Both bullet expand well in my testing.

A stiff dose of 4227 powder under a 200 grain GC RCBS flat point bullet cast of wheel weight scrap. Has worked well for many years.

before I got this RCBS mold, I relied on the Remington Core Lokt 200 grain round nose. That bullet performs really well on white tail sized game.
