I was thinking about using "Shameless Porn" as the title, but figured that might attract the wrong kind of attention.

At any rate, I invite y'all to post .45-70 related pics of a favorite rifle, or collection, or dream rifle, or whatever.

Here is my beloved Mirokuchester 1886 Takedown.

:D Stubby little critter-getter! I like it. Almost shortened the barrel on my GG to create something like that but decided I wanted more barrel, not less, so I traded for a 22" 1895 Marlin. Marlins are great lever guns!

The newer 1895 and my .22 Marlin 39.

Marlin 1895 on an elk hunt in October.

I can't think of a rifle I'd rather carry for timber or brush hunting.

Here is my Marlin 45/70:

And my T/C Contender Super 16 .45/70 (my next step with this will be a Williams FP, as I really like the peep on my M1895G):

And if you are curious as to a size comparison between the two, this is the best that I have right now:

I see that we are in full agreement on what to use for Elk. Actually I use this same setup for all of my big game hunting. This year I almost nailed my Elk with the 44Mag........damn, maybe next year.
